Winter always gets me in a funk. But now that the weather is getting nice and staying nice...I've been doing a lot of walking/bike riding and just being outside in general. It puts me in a much better mood and its given me a lot of time to think. I've found myself not doing a lot of the things that I used to do. I've been just sort of letting life happen instead of really living and experiencing life. So I've made a list. A list of things that I am going to do more of...

1. Spend more time outside
2. Watch TV less
3. Journal more (I used to journal my feelings every day and I dont do it anymore)
4. write songs/poems more
5. listen to new music that inspires me to really LIVE
6. blog more
7. read more
8. goof-off more
9. stop being afraid to let people in
10. be myself...always
11. love myself always
12. remember what it felt like to be a kid
13. LOVE more

crazy. christmas.

Christmas was crazy and hectic this year. With my job as a nanny I didn't really get many days off to do things like shopping and decorating...but somehow we got everything done!

The worst part of it all is the sickness. I guess when you're watching two kids who are sick you're bound to get sick yourself? Who woulda thought? lol

I got a head cold last week from Gracelynn and then got an Upper respiratory infection/fever from Daniel this week. Ugh. I'm just hoping that all the sickness comes to an end soon!

Scott and I spent new years eve at home because I had a temp of 101.4 and I did not feel well. So we watched Law & Order: SVU together, kissed at midnight, and then went to bed. So Lame. but oh well...better luck next year!

hustle and bustle.

The last two weeks have been absolute craziness. I love the holidays, but i hate how rushed everything tends to feel around this time of year. the semester has been coming to an end so of course i've had lots of work to finish up and papers to crank out. I finally finished my last one about an hour ago!

This weekend was both busy and emotional. One of my best friends left to move to California (and then on to montana) this weekend. We have been best friends since kindergarten so saying good-bye was kind of tough, ya know?

My new nephew, Gunnar was born yesterday around 3:15 and most of the family and I went up to Toledo to see the new little guy!

Scott and I were supposed to get our Christmas tree today, but it took me nearly all day to finish writing my final paper....so I'm hoping we go Wed. when I'm off work : )

i.love.kids.

for starters...it's been way too long since my last post. scott and I have been living in our new apt. without internet since may. we got it hooked up last week so i've been in facebook heaven the last couple of days and today i thought i'd update you on my life.





i have a new job. the BEST job ever! i am a nanny for an OBGYN in springfield. she is single and has two little ones that she has adopted.





Gracelynn (aka: gracie -this gets confusing at times because i also have a niece named gracie) will be two in exactly one month! she is usually pretty quiet, but has a very strong will. she gets really cuddly right before nap time and i absolutely love it! scott has fallen completely in love with her : ) its so sweet.





Daniel (aka Naniel as gracie calls him) is three months old. he loves to smile, has been cooing a lot lately and will stick his tongue out at you any chance he gets. i was really nervous about taking care of a newborn, but so far he is the easiest of the two because he mostly sleeps and eats.



some days being around them makes me want to have babies like right now, and other days it makes me realize just how much scott and i need to grow before we have kids.



i am so thankful for this job! its the perfect job for me and i am absolutely in love with the kiddos : )

jam. strawberry.

my mom and i made some strawberry jam last week. it turned out delicious! it was the first time i had ever made it, but surprisingly it doesn't take that much time and effort. it just gets all over your kitchen walls when it starts to boil!

new adventure.

I am now a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant!

I joined Mary Kay to earn some extra income for Scott and I because he will be going back to school full time in a few months.

I can honestly say that I NEVER thought about selling Mary Kay before. but...I am really excited about this new adventure and am thankful to work for a company that is willing to spend all the time I need on training me and helping me start my own business.
